Name: Shinguji Korekiyo
Door: Door Pass - Gold eyes make him a Dom

Canon: Danganronpa V3
Canon Point: Chapter 3 before the trial

Age: No official age is given in canon but I'm going with 17 (which will make him 18 this summer) since he's high school age.
Appearance: Full body and without mask

History: Character Wiki
Personality: When one first comes across Korekiyo he can seem rather weird. Not only is he eerily calm in frightening situations but he also has a habit of coming across as almost morbid. His way of viewing the world is clearly not like that of a normal person which can be very off-putting to those who don't bother to get to know him right away. A fact that doesn't appear to bother him in the slightest. However, there is a bit more to him than that which will be listed below:

- Insightful/Observant: If one is to get to know him, they will find beyond his unique views of the world, he also clearly appears to be able to see things others might miss. Little details rarely slip past him because he is constantly watching the world around him and specifically the people in it. As an anthropologist he has a special interest in the happenings of people and how they function in a society. This interest makes it so he is often keeping an eye on things and taking notes on them. It even lets him see through lies faster than others in order to uncover a truth. This is something he's happy to lend to friends of his to help them along or even to share his knowledge from all that he's seen.

- Confident: There is something to be said for someone who sure of who they are and what they can do. This lets him approach all situations without hesitation. He is even able to be so sure of himself that he finds he has no problem departing a situation or even saying something that others might not like. All because he knows who he is and what he's about. He has no need to impress anyone else around him, not even his own friends. You can take him or you can leave him. Either way this is the person that he's presenting to you.

- Long Winded: There are some people in the world who once you get them started talking on something that interests them they will suddenly provide long explanations about that topic even though you never asked for it. This is definitely Korekiyo. Bring up something that reminds him of something or ask him a question about anthropology and suddenly you had better be prepared to sit down for a good chunk of time. He can go on and on about things that interest him, quite the opposite of his usual quiet and aloof personality. Of course showing an interest in this is also one of the best ways to grow closer to him and build a friendship. Anyone willing to listen to him in these moments becomes a valued friend of his very quickly since there are so many who would prefer to just walk away.

- Passionate: It takes a great deal of passion to love the things that Kiyo loves. After all, he constantly puts himself into dangerous situations for the sake of learning more about the cultures of the world. He will freely tell stories about how he almost lost his life in a show of appreciation for certain villages and so on. Even with the murder game he appears to not mind at all that he's in a dangerous situation at all and instead laughs as he expresses his interest in seeing what this game will awaken in the people around him. It's like one of the greatest joys he has is just observing the world around him, even if that means he could lose his life in the process. And not just observing. He wants to actually live the situations rather than witness them from afar.

- Creepy: This is perhaps the most easily noticeable thing about his personality from the start. He has a habit of talking like death is no big deal or even seeming to enjoy suffering whether it be his own or others. Now some of this is certainly a sado/masocist streak but to others it can just come across as almost scary. Particularly when he starts laughing at things that seem to be only funny to him or when he embraces himself or even when he throws his arms out to declare something to the world. These mannerisms are very strange and can really come across as off-putting. Perhaps more so since he is often found to be off doing his own thing. Even his random suggests of holding seances for the dead can seem ill-timed. Kiyo is just honestly a rather creepy person and even after you get to know him his mannerisms can seem quite weird. Of course it gets scarier when you do something to displease him as well. Because who would have the creativity to threaten to rip out someone's nerves for touching a priceless artifact? If you guessed Kiyo then you're right. Please never mess with anything that has significance to him because he absolutely will not tolerate it. Nor will he tolerate stupidity in general. And that creepy aura of his? Yeah it comes in real handy for those moments.

- Secretive: If ever there was a person with secrets it's this guy here. While he will openly tell you about past sexual encounters or even freely give his opinion on a matter, there are a number of things he hasn't shared so openly with the world. One of them is the love he has for his sister (though if you hear him talk about her you can assume he's quite devoted to her all the same) and how deep that runs. Another is that his sister lives on inside of him as a tulpa and when he lowers his mask it's her talking. Oh and there's the fact that he does talk to his sister still. Though the biggest secret of all? That he plans to kill 100 girls to have them join his sister in the afterlife so that she won't be alone until he can rejoin her. He's gotten very close to that number and even killed two more girls in the murder game that he was a part of. These are all things that he's very good at keeping to himself so that no one suspects that there is more to oddities than him simply just being...odd.

- Family/Love: This one goes rather hand in hand. You see, nothing matters more to him than his sister. He loves her more than anything in the universe and through the course of the story you learn that he's very close to her. Very close to her. In fact, he will tell others that he can sleep around and so on but his heart has already been given to another. That's right, he and his sister were in a relationship together and that still means the world to him. Enough so that he had a vastly painful bondage experience that brought him close to death in order to be reunited with her. To this day he continues to wear lipstick under his mask and when the mask is on you will have the personality of Korekiyo. When the mask is off you will have the personality of his sister who seems to either be another personality in him or actually is the dead ghost now inside of him. The series never fully makes this clear for a number of reasons. Further details on her personality will be explained shortly. But the fact is that he's obsessed with his sister and her happiness even after her death. He even let's us know that the uniform he is wearing was made by her own hands and that she inspired him to get into anthropology. So much of who he is revolves around her. He might not make it obvious at first bit if one were ever to uncover the depths of his feelings for his sister then it would be whole other world to discover. After all, he's not at all ashamed of having been with his sister at all.

- Remorseless: When it comes to his crimes this is perhaps the most disturbing of all. He feels absolutely no guilt for anything that he does. Why at the end of his trial he still believes all the others still alive are his friends. Catch him in the act and he honestly doesn't care. If he's allowed to get away with all that he's done then you can be sure that he will go and repeat his crimes again and again. He even shows to have no guilt over the incestuous relationship with his sister, just viewing it as the purest and truest form of love in existence. As far as he's concerned, yes, these are crimes. However, he's doing everything he does for the one that he loves the most so how could there possibly be anything wrong with that? Surely anyone could understand why he did what he had to do. One could even argue that this is what makes him such a terrifying killer in the end. Because he doesn't regret a second of any of his actions.

- Sister: We don't actually see a lot of his sister's personality when he has the mask down but there are a few things that we do know about her during this time. She appears to be just as devoted to him as he is to her. Whether this is his own imaginings or reality we can't be sure. She also is shown to be quite calm and even sweet with a maturity to her that shows she's possibly a good bit older than him. Should he panic, she is the only one who can calm him down, whispering sweet words to him (him using her voice) to reassure him and let him know that everything will be alright. It's very unlikely that she will come out though since she only appears to come out in front of others during times of great stress for Kiyo. Otherwise it is implied that she and Kiyo only ever talk to each other when they are alone where it seems that no one can hear them. Much like they want their relationship to be special and all their own with no one getting in the way. And to top it all off? She appears to have no problem with anything that her brother has done, even supporting his decisions and his crimes to the fullest.

In summary, Korekiyo is rather a summary of his favorite philosophy about the world. He believes strongly in the “Beauty of Humanity” which suggests that every part of humanity is beautiful. The good, the bad, and the ugly. You can see all of this in him even as he admires the people around him. For example, he qualifies all of the people in the murder game his friends even if he finds them to be irritating or vile. Oddly, he's quite the good friend if you can somehow overlook his...many, many issues.

Powers and Abilities: As far as superhuman abilities go, Korekiyo is a completely normal human. With that said, he does have a huge range of knowledge when it comes to anthropology. He would have to since he is the Ultimate Anthropologist. This intelligence also extends into other aspects of his life making him extremely observant to that which is going on around him. Along with this, he's been shown to have a keen mind for executing plans such as complex murders. In fact, he might have gotten away with his killings in the game if he hadn't made a little mistake. So while he may not have superhuman abilities, one should still be cautious of how extremely intelligent he is.

Oh and if you want an expert on kink and bondage and the like? He's your guy. He's both topped and bottomed and knows all about participating in these acts to the point where he can tell how long a length of rope is simply by looking at it. No jokes there.
